You can get to Tahiti by taking a plane which is about 8 hours direct flight. There are flights from Air France that depart from LAX and goes straight to PPT. It will take about 8 hours and 40 minutes non stop and costs $780 round trip if you book through Air France.  Or you could also fly Air Tahiti and book it through American Airlines. This flight will cost $1,312 and will take 8 hours and 5 minutes.

If you want to fly to Bora Bora from LAX tickets cost about $1,100-$3,000. All flights stop at PPT. This will take about 11-12 hours if you only have one stop. You can book your flights on Air Tahiti or Delta.

You can also fly to Moorea from LAX which will take a little over 24 hours because there are 2 layovers. One in San Francisco and one at Tahiti airport. Then take a smaller plain to Moorea. It will cost from $1,195-$3,064. You could fly United and book your flights through Air Tahiti and all flights are round trip. You can also take a ferry ride to Moorea from Tahiti will cost $15 and takes about 35-45 minutes.

If you want to get to different Islands you can take a smaller airplane.  A flight to Moorea from Tahiti will take about 15 minutes and a flight to Bora Bora from Tahiti take about 50 minutes.
