Surfing
There are many surf spots in Tahiti. One of them is Teahupo'o Tahiti. It can be dangerous so you should be an experienced surfer if you surf Teahupo'o. This spot does have waves that can get to 45 feet.
Another great surf spot is Taapuna, Tahiti. You can get there by boat or paddling and has a reef on the ocean floor. Surfing is best May through October and waves that are 3-10 feet. Surfing using a short board is recommended.
Tikehau is an amazing surf spot on Tahiti. It is for shortboards and surfing is best during January to April and October to December and is only accessible by boat. And you can catch some great waves that are around 3-8 feet.
Papara is really good spot for surfing for every one. The waves are not too big about 3-6 feet and is accessible by shore. These waves are better for short boards and funboarders and this beach has a nice sand floor. Papara's best surf is from May- October.
If you are a beginner surfer and want lessons, then you could book a lesson that is great for kids and adults through Surfing lesson and course in Tahiti. The lessons are for 3 hours over a course of 4-7 days and costs $175 per person and one lessons costs $45. If you want a private lesson that lasts one day, it will cost $113. The surf lessons are available during any month.
