Snorkel  & Scuba Diving

Mahana Park at Tahiti is a great snorkel spot. This spot does have restrooms and restaurants nearby. The deepest it gets is about 14 feet. At Mahana Park you can see beautiful fire coral and stonefish.

The Hilton Moorea is another amazing snorkeling spot. This location is not very busy. There are restaurants nearby and you can get there from the nice sandy beach. The depth is 3-6 feet. You will see Lemonpeel Angelfish, Ornate Butterflyfish, Mailed butterflyfish, Convict Tang and many other fish as well as coral and clams.

Another snorkel spot is the Coral Garden at Tahaa. It does cost $100 per person to get in and there is no restrooms. There are restaurants nearby and depth ranges from 3-6 feet. You can access the Coral Garden through a sandy beach. Here you will see Orange Fin Anemonefish, Double-saddle Butterflyfish, Whitespotted Surgeonfish, and more. You will also see coral and sea anemones.

If you are a certified diver, you would love to try the Cargo Ship and the Catalini at Tahiti. You have to access it by boat and it is a wreck dive, so you will see a ship and aircraft wreck from 1964, along with many different fish and coral.

If you need to rent snorkel or dive equipment you can get it from Topdive. Topdive does require an instructor when you go on a dive if you rent the dive equipment so it costs $503.91 for 6 dives called the Topdive 6 and $815.41 for Pass Gold 10 which includes 10 dives. If you need snorkel equipment you can rent it from your hotel.
