FIFO

FIFO is a pacific island documentary film festival that takes place in Tahiti. FIFO first started in 2004 and is a popular festival in Tahiti, directors from all over as well as the public come to participate. It is so big because it shows tradition and diversity. It start February 1 and ends on february 9, 2020. The jury for the film festival consists of people from Australia, French Polynesia, Hawaii, New Caledonia, and the president is from France. Some films that were in the 2020 FIFO were, The Australian Dream, Eating Up Easter, From Music into Silence, Lost Rambos, In My Blood It Runs, and so many other films. In first place was Merata How Mum Decolonised the Screen, made from New Zealand, The Australian Dream won the 2nd Jury special Award, and Mamus won for the best short-film documentary.
